I'll Be There To Catch You Before You Fall
Author: Terrie*

vinebar

I heard your words
very different from the ones I knew
each one pierced straight through my untamed soul

it isn't so much the difficulty
of staying away at your price
it's mostly trying to avoid
you having to face the storm by yourself in this life

can't you see???

when you came at me
with such fiercful words
at your request I backed away
with tears in my eyes
because of the things you said

in the world that I chose to live
it is not my love I want to give
but the love God gave to me to share
because of the things he made me aware

long ago tears became a part of my life
life took away the most important part of my world
God gave me strength
so at all lengths
i extend my love
with his grace from above

your once sweet response was replaced
by the rage and turbulance that clouded your heart
with words that attacked mine
sometimes you know not what you say
thats why i can never stay away

an illness shouldn't change
who we are
I'd like to continue to stand by you
near or far

after your outburst
I became scared
and you pushed me away
sometimes others we want to blame
but i love you still the same

just remember on me you can call
we are family til the end
I'll be there to catch you before you fall

I agree

To me, I think families should be strong already, in spite of illnesses, deaths, holidays, or what have you. Your poem speaks for itself, it's very self-explanatory. You will be available, any time of day, during inclement weather. I believe you'll put an important engagement aside, and postpone it for family matters. I love it T!

Smiley face,
Meri

i agree wit Meri...families should stand strong before hand...But sometimes illness and death do bring us close...you know we should be loved for who we are...without condition...in which seems hard for some to do...and that's when we get the outburst...usually from jealousy...we should always put family first...thanks for the write...very good as usual...joyce

Hi Joyce....

yes it is true families SHOULD stand strong before any illness...but you and i know that in the norms of society ..the depth of the darknesses of reality...regarding illness and death .. whether we realize it or not "Pulls "many families apart...no matter how close knit a family really is...there's always unknown resolved issues that arise ,that are unknown and are left alone "mistake many allow"
this has been part of reality for centuries......

i have a stubborn heart that loves deeply family or fo..i won't allow any situation to become one of those norms. in the cycle of life.....thanx for readin'/commentin'...
