A Memory Back Then

I still remember the day I bought you that car,
It was not much to see, ragged around the sides,
The glow held in your face, displayed such happiness held inside,
This day I’ll never forget when you left my side.
Seasons mixed with rain falling into snow,
Now we compromise naming it sleet.

The errand you ran it turned so bad, this I saw,
As the hours passed I began to wonder,
A knock at the door, I ran with excitement on your return
Policemen I saw looking so glum,
With his eyes all glazed he told me,
Of another that clipped your car on the side
Wile watching the parade he lost control inside

I say goodbye and held your hair ginger not red,
I’ll remember your smile everyday in my dreams

It was on a hot winter’s day I made my move,
I’d been spellbound by your aura for sometime now,
The way you moved from head to toe excited me,
With every look you gave your gorgeous eyes took my breath,

To make love was a term lost in my meaning until today,
Hot not just outside as our bodies entwine each other,
Inside my heart beating opening my chest with excitement,
Never knew that a feeling such as ours could last for hours.
Your silky skin still pressed against mine in this everlasting touch.

Sleet turned to snow as if to celebrate our union of love,
Snow as white as our love so new,
In an instant this ole house became much more than a home,
In an instant I grew from a boy into a man,
In an instant your voice rang through every thought,
In this instant we shared not just sex but our love,
Now I’m yours till our very end.

The day I found love not sex will last
All because of you.
