This Cowgirls Gonna Ride Til The Sun Goes Down
17 May, 2005
Author: Terrie*
I'v taken all I cain take
I've given the best that I had
no more games to play
no more rules to follow
i'm gonna break them all
no more good girl
for me
i'm lettin' my hair hang down
it's off to the road
me my boots my jeans
and a stetson on my crown
I'm gonna saddle up
I'm gonna spur up
I'm gonna jump on my stallion
I'm gonna ride high again
this cowgirls
gonna ride
till the sun goes down
I'm gonna ride up and down the state of Texas
looking for my cowboy
I'll know who he'll be
when he comes walkin' up to me
he'll be a tall cowboy that much i know
I'm gonna wait
until the sun goes down
to give him the best of my love
just for him
I'm gonna shine this heart of mine
if my cowboy
happens to be riding a chrome machine
then baby off with these jeans
and into my satin feathers
and silky leathers
because
I'll be right behind him
when the sun goes down
and I'll be riding high and free as and eagle
when my cowboy joins me
you'll be able to hear us screamin'
from the state of Texas
my cowboy and me
