Embrace Yourself

Postby Trinity » Fri Jan 17, 2003 7:44 pm

I know, am also enjoying this topic so much, its neat how people are willing to expose themselves if just one person has the courage to start it.....

As for those words, mirror of ourselves, it inspired me to write another one....

Embrace Yourself

Imagine doing the impossible,
And going a single day without ONCE looking in the mirror.

I think for some people, that is their greatest fear......

Can you grasp the concept
That there is so much more to life then what WE experience.

That the world we inhabit has an incredible resiliance.....

Dissect your thoughts for a moment
And you'll almost surely find the COMPLETELY unexpected.

At some point every single one of us has been rejected.......

Some have hearts that are infected
With the hate undigested
And it results in a mind defected.

Imagine doing the impossible
And going a single day without having ANY negativity

Looking in the mirror and smiling at what you see

Some are inspired by others creativity
With calming serenity
And it results in absolute positivity.

* takes out bongo and plays it* o.0 uh yeah...

you know i liked this video by christiana agulara (spelled that right?) with the song beautiful... i liked. it. it really went well with the lyrics. who ever directed that vedio is some kind of genuis. they showed a goth-punk girl on a bus with every one starring at her but she smiled. they showed some anorexet chick unhappy with herself but she smiled. they showed a crossdresser, and he smiled. they showed gays kissing in public and after being like cussed at they smiled at each other. i think one line of those lyrics are like "we are beautiful in each and every way.." or something like that.

sorry i just sorta like dont watch tv no more so when i do its like ... some thing big.. hehe.. and i just so happened to see that vedio at the time and it was cool and in a way it kinda goes along with this topic... and in a way it also doesnt but just felt like sharing ^.^

I am me
Funny as can be
Bursting with energy
Always happy

Deep inside though
There is a lot of hurt
Of loves lost
And broken hearts

I am a survivor
I stand tall
I learn from all my error
So that I won't fall

The spirits are my friends
They converse with me
Angels are always by my side
Guiding me

I might be small
But my heart is big
I have a lot of friends
Because its them I dig!

There is more to me
Than meets the eye
These simple words
Will never describe me
But its enough for now!

Sorry for this sucky poem! I just wrote it at the spur of the moment. I'll try to come up with a better poem. I loved reading the poems in this forum! Hope to get to know you guys better.

ok a poem about myself<--- dont think it is good but here goes!

About Me:

i dont know who i am
or what i have become
i know my foster mom is never around
and my foster dad makes me get all the chores done

my real dad left when i was 2
my real mom died when i was 10
i dont remember of any of my real brothers or sisiters
to me thier all dead

i was raped when i was 12
did LSD at 13
ended up in the hospital
and turned out to be a huge seen

i was allways beat up
by a guy i thought i loved
come to find out
i'm just a bunch of crud

my life was going down hill
my life was really screwed
then they put me into a mental hospital
and there was nothing i could do

so then i spent
the next 3 months of my life
completely trapped inside bars
starting to lose hope in Jesus Christ

everything is a bunch of s*it
to much for me to deal with
i wanted to kill myself
cause i wanted to be dead

now things are a tad bit better
i am getting on the right track to life
my foster mom is still never around
but i dont let that keep me down!

p.s sorry it sounds so crappy
