Stress And Worry
Author: Colin Stewart

The cult of penance preys on the weak
and those who cannot bear to speak
because certain people tend to be meek
on the subject of tackling the working week.

"A giant asteroid is coming your way"
the daily Horoscope warned today
but only for the Taurus who plead and say
why was I chosen to be born in May?

Certain plans have gone askew
and there's not much else one can do
as those who escape are very few.
The human condition is stuck in blue.

This vocation has left me deep in thought
and it's the idleness in which I am caught
by a mind that you know is overwrought
from waiting for the perfect parking spot!

The inevitable hasn't happened yet
and you know you'll never be completely set
but one can always safely bet
on the trials of worry and regret!
