You had a vision of what you couldn't see
The only thing you had were words of poetry
You thought this was
So you shared a picture or two
The person clicked on the attachment in the e-mail
And was surprised to see a different view
Than the vision formed in the mind
From the face to the body
Every thing turned out to be
Very different from the person writing poetry

So you don't know what to say
Since the expectation wasn't the same
The anticipation was killing
Now you have trouble dealing
With shot dreams of an imagined beau
You sculpted and constructed this person
Who spoke of a relationship though?

No one said anything outside of writing
It was all in your head
A fantasy you dreamed
Now the fantasy's dead
Can't a writer write without dealing with extra
Poets share a lot in common and that's natural
But it's funny when
A stranger never met becomes a "friend"
It's like a trend
Time never seems to end
There's so much to spend
All because you have a fan
Who becomes obssessed
Having a false sense of emotion
You quickly began to dress
Your real-life Sim or Avatar
From the job to the car
Not realizing how further
From the truth you are
Thinking more into
Than what really is
The mind is quite a tool
Even a genius can be a fool

Anybody can write
Just like anybody can recite
But the heart will manifest
What's really in the chest
Words are just words
Expressed by the storyteller
Who was blessed with such a gift
To merely share, inspire and uplift
Nothing more, nothing less
Sometimes anonymity is best
