One Day
Author: Tara Barnwell

One day when the sun don't shine,
I'll pack my bags and fly away from here.
Over the moon and under the stars,
I'll go.
Spread my wings out wide,
Flap them then jump into the air.
If you're good enough to me,
I'll take you with me.
Maybe if the weather's right,
We'll keep going till we get somewhere,
Like Jupiter or maybe Mars.
From there we'll be able to see,
All the people back down here.
Wonder if they'll miss us,
Or maybe only you.
But you know that doesn't bother me at all,
Because I don't miss them either.

If you get lonely at all,
All you gotta do is tell me,
Then I'll be right back at your side.
If you get home sick,
Or you miss your mamma,
I'll fly with you back home,
Because you know,
I'll always be good for you.
