One More Week
5 February, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I lie awake each night unable to sleep
Anxious for the days to come
I can't wait for you to hold me in your arms
I have been wanting you so long
In my dreams we stand together
Just staring in each others eyes
Each searching for approval to go on
As joy streams down my cheeks
I can't begin to say how much I've missed you
For the words just aren't there
The perfect welcome home I picture
Waiting as you step off the plane
There no longer is enough to do to keep me occupied
the wait now seems to grow longer
So I lie awake at night unable to fall asleep
Yet I know it is only one more week.
