I Long For You
13 April, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

I long for you, my love
To share this moment with you
Walking hand in hand
Upon the deck of this dream ship

To kiss your lips and taste you
Here in the darkest void of the night
Yet I can not
For you are far from me now

I am alone here in this dream
Sailing across the great waters
But you are not truely far
Not far enough that I can't dream you here

To share this place... this moment
With you my love, feeling you near
I open my eyes to the dizzying darkness
of the waves breaking beneath me

Afraid that I may lean too far
Overwhelmed by my thoughts and dreams
I close my eyes once again, longing..
And I dream you near to me

Besides the fact that if it were so that I'd(or whoever's the "dreamer") be in control of everything and everyone, I'd really like some of my thoughts and fantasy's to be real... Especially right now, again this is another one of your poems that seems to reflect how I feel.... heh.... -_-

this pooem fits how every miltary person feels when their love ones are left behind. Excellent touch, with a warm expession, yet to know we're not alone when we're all alone.

I loved this one and out there on the horizon your man is dreaming that very same thing for you and I know how hard it was to be separated from my wife on that horizon/I hope you sent that one to him/it's gets lonely out there
