Another Time, Another Place
31 May, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

Another time, another place I might have touched you
With more than just a warm hug of hello
Just another moment in the darkness
May have lead us toward a closer touch of mind

Eyes meeting quickly locking but for an stolen instant
Knowing for that moment the thought was ours
An electrical charge of sudden knowing
If things were different ..then again ..maybe not

Someday again, our eyes might meet in passing
And a closer friendship between us may occur
To sing in unison our hearts together
But for a moment just two people caught in time

Thank You

I'd like ta start by saying your are a wonderful writer, and this poem Another Time, Another Place, O'my God how it hit me...I too am a writer, but have not written in some time, Seems I have had this writers block and nothing seems to come out right. I was looking for just the right words to send to a friend knowing that no matter what he would be hurt, but hoping that he would also know that he still means very much to me. Another Time, Another Place...Your poetry has inspired me to Look a little deeper into myself, and feel as I once did ...And thanks to you I have finaly found the right words.I hope that at a little later time I will have the courage again to share my poetry with others, and would loved to shear it with you.
Thank you again for the inspiration..

Your permission...

I saw your poem, and thought "wow, that's it!" I'm a composer and am setting a group of poems on the topic of dreaming...this one fit with the others I've already chosen. I'm asking your permission to set this one to music (classically oriented) and possibly submit it within the set, for a composition competition. Please email me back at your earliest convenience to let me know.
