And Then It Was Gone 2
Author: Seizure

There never was a time when I could see a thing
That mattered in life, that wouldn't just sting
I see my mother before me with welcoming arms
I thought I finally made it and she'd save me from harms
I ran as fast as I could but she faded away
What a price to pay, man, I'll never be okay
There was another vision but it too faded fast
Right as I got close, how long can this last
When I gather strength and start to stand again
Another vision forms, I know I can't win
Everybody dies and returns to the sand
I know what must be done, I must make a stand
And get out of this place before it's all too late
I know what must be done and I know I shouldn't wait
There's nothing left but my own misery
Tell me what can I do to live as me

What I see before me slowly fades away
Everything I knew has slowly turned to gray
It wasn't the first time it was the worst time
I could just see myself surrounded by crime
All the fellow homeless and the needles in my arm
And the blade up on my wrist trying to cause some harm
There was slashing there was cutting, there was conscious eye lid shutting
There was death of my hope when I really started gutting
Now I break down and I fall on the ground
And I close my eyes and ears, there's a deafening sound
There was the woman I loved, she said she loved me so
As I approached her, she said she had to go
Another man appeared and he kissed her neck
It tore me up inside, I looked like a wreck
They embraced eachother then they disappeared
Now I've nothing left, it's worse than I had feared

------- Author's Notes -------

The original one I did for "And then it was gone" turned out nothing like I wanted... this one didn't either... but hey... it's closer. Oh well.
