Because You Love Me

Author: The Unrequited Dream
Wishing on a falling star
On a night so wondrous as this,
Hoping these feelings I thought were there
Weren't to be misleading.
You're so much like me, it's uncanny
Intriguing -
And seemingly meant to be...
Eventually.
I saw you in the dawning
Of a new day;
Seeing your face can melt
Even the coldest snow away.
I've never felt quite this way before
It doesn't really make much sense
No one's ever been this way before
Unless they wanted my innocence.
But you don't -
Because you love me.
