Wrapped In A White Satin Sheet
17 June, 2005
Author: Terrie*

vinebar

wrapped in a white satin sheet
laying in bed
so empty and all alone

my man so far away

laying here wide awake
missin' him even more
the only thing
pressed against my flesh
is this satin sheet

because my man is so far away

i hug it
and hold it's
silky softness so close
his body feels as soft and warm
as this white satin sheet of mine

i dream of my lover
and how much i wish he was here
all i get are sad lonely tears

they are all i take to bed with me
i fall asleep with them
prayin' that the days
go by quick

i wake up each mornin'
all wrapped up
in my white satin sheet

as if i was wrestlin'
through out the night
with a ghost that made
sweet sensual love with me

a touch
that left me with a feelin'
of just how close
my baby can be
even when he isn't layin' next to me

i know that my baby made love to me
when i find my self all wrapped up
in my white satin sheet
with sweat clingin' on to me

------- Author's Notes -------

too many lonely nights.
