Ending Storm

Before the storm
Comes a gray haze
I get restless
Because this great downpour
Brings darkened thunder
It gives me an exhilarating pleasure;
Complete obscurity
Such a dismal feeling
The wrath of the loudness
Is keeping me going
But I do nothing but watch
As the sky lights up;
An enormous bolt
Reveals the clouds
And out of nowhere
A beam of sunlight
Strikes the land
Like an atomic lamp;
Now I'm out of it
Because the tsunami
Is gone.
