A Beautiful Song

If you were there and a part of my life,
Maybe then you might understand me,
But if you don’t try to see through it all,
There’s no point in trying so hard to see,
A life of destruction, ruin, and hate,
Don’t try to fix this mess I’ve made,
It’s all my fault and my wrong doings,
I reaped what I sowed and already paid,
I don’t know what I’m trying to say,
The words are coming from within,
My heart never used to feel so alone,
Every action I make feels like sin,
A beautiful song used to fill my soul,
All of my heart would sing along too,
Never have I felt so alone I could die,
My heart is running out of things to do,
A cheerful sigh and a weeping of why,
My lungs want to sing a beautiful song,
I can’t just go along with the feeling,
My heart doesn’t want to sing along,
Confusion will always fill my heart,
An emptiness will always fill my soul,
Until a day comes along my path,
Where for once I am feeling entirely whole.
