God, Let A Hummingbird, Kiss My Lips

I was born, with a Silver Spoon in my mouth
Had all the best the world could give
Best schools, and heated swimming pools
Limousines would take me to a picture show

My shoes came from Italy and my clothes
Can't imagine all the worms spinning all that silk
Just to cover my heart, which cries now, for what money
Can not seem to buy, I live alone in a tower of paradise

Never got the chance to roller-skate, yet, I had my
Own Ice skating-rink, but its not fun to skate alone
All I felt was the coldness of the ice, my heart cried
For something that would warm my heart, Hey I'm Rich

I can buy a stranger's life looking for paradise, give it to him
Yet, I can not find a warmth my heart needs, poor me
I have so many things, power to buy and give, poor me
I'm at the park, see a boy & girl hold each other close, why not me

I'm cursed with the power to buy anything my silver heart desires
Yet, I'm not the boy who holds his love close, I feel so cold
As I walk by, they both smile at me and say, have a great day
Hell, I could buy this park, and bench where they hold each other

I smile back, put my hand up to my eyes, as my eyes cry for me, Damn I'm Rich
I can buy anything, anything but love, I just walk on by, I know the limousine
Will be waiting when I'm ready to go away, back to my paradise and cry
Saw two lovers in the park and all I have is the damn, limousine & prestige

If, you think this poem is strange, get this, as rich as I am and all the places
That I have been, to this day, with all the money that I have, my most sincere
Dream, is to have a hummingbird fly up to me, kiss my lips and say
Love comes to everyone, even the rich...

God, let a hummingbird, kiss my lips
