It Is All Gone

i see two canine companions waggin' their tail
and feel the love they felt in so many ways
their life's were filled with so much joy

my heart breaks to see a tear
perhaps someone will save both hearts from breakin'
by takin' them both home

my past appears to my thoughts
i allow myself never to forget
a reminder of what life was like
When times seemed difficult,

i cain also remember the joy i felt
when i felt the power of love
then i got well past and moved on

i know that the past was mine,
and whom i shared it with at one time
just as these canine companions whom now sit alone at the pound
they only knew one master one voice
now that is all gone

the present becomes a memory for them
and i cain very well feel that too
because it has more meanin' with whom we share it with
when all is done and given from the heart with love

the life's of these canine companions are so much like mine
we are not guaranteed divine love
but we cain pray that we are showered with it once again

the future it is not your's or mine

------- Author's Notes -------

a recent tragedy happened to a co-worker , without gettin' into detail, the canine companions were left behind, sometimes as humans that is how we often feel..
PLEASE no comments..just read and bow your head in prayer that a good home is found.. Thank You !!i caint imagine my two canine babies bein' separated, if my life was to end today.
