I remember when we were babies
So little we could barely talk
We'd play inside and watch tv
we taught each other to walk.

I remember when we hit the toddler stage
I'd play at your house all day
We'd teeter tot and play in the sand
Everything went our way

I remember when we were just little girls
Nine or ten at the most
We went to school and beat up boys
Too much for one to boast

I remember when we were in Junior High
No one messed with us.
We stupid hard and partied late
No one made a fuss

I remember High school loud and clear
We went our seperate ways
We fell in love and had our fun
And graduated in May

I remember February 24
And my heart begins to pound
As you tighten the rope and fall to the floor
No one makes a sound

I remember the Happy times
And I remember the sad
But I'll always remember
The GOOD OVER THE BAD!

------- Author's Notes -------

MY best friend Elizabeth hung herself February 24, 2005.. I wrote this because I have been best friends with her since birth. We were closer than sisters.
Well I miss her and I hope you guys keep your friends close and never let something stupid get in the middle.

That's indeed some tragic news, when a friend of yours has succumbed; especially, by hanging. Good, heartfelt poem Holly. I don't know why, but like you said, it always seems in High School years, friends drift further and further apart from each other and have new ones.
But once again, good poem Holly.

No words can make you feel better

It is sad that you have to go through this, but the memories you have will help.
