How, Can This Be

I'm driving down a lonely road, they are all the same to me
Have a destination that I must reach and when I do
There is nothing there for me, still I travel this lonely road
Ahead, I see a cross and a drive way, I make that turn into eternity

The grass is so green, I see flowers everywhere, like the touch of spring
I'm glad I made that turn, drive on into eternity then I see a marker
Here in lies your heart, she loves me, she loves you to, warm breeze touches me
I step out of my car, drift to the words my heart felt, touch her, he touches me

Am I going crazy, left her heart so far behind me, still I hear him say
Touch her heart and you touch me, I kneel beside the words of a warm breeze
He knows I love her, and she belongs to him, yet he says, feel the warm breeze
Death is not an end to love, I know you, stranger to her heart, I hear her say

I'm so lonely, this stranger gives life to my heart, forgive me, I want him
This road to eternity takes love, back to love and with a blessing, few know
One heart steps aside, lets another love hold the hand of his bride, he is him
Re-born, a promise made to her, love will never leave, touch me, touch him

We are both the same, one you remember and one you see, touch one
And you touch the other, both love you and one day your heart will say
As your eyes slowly close, God thank you for all the love I've known
Thank you for all the dreams you made come true for, still I ask?
