Gentle footfalls in this sand by me are made,
as I step cautiously into the light leaving behind the shade.
Tiptoeing I stray into pastures new,
meeting new friend along the way;patrons of shoe.

Babysteps I make in an attempt to explore,
what lies beyond my very own line of shore?
Leaving all that I know behind me as I feel a little brave,
to recognise that there is so much more I crave.

Marching now to my own drum,
not so hesitant thinking what could become?
Of my noble and gallant quest,
what the future could hold I have not yet guessed.

Walking now at a steady pace,
determination and inquisitiveness domineer my face.
No more do I fear what I don't understand,
as I saunter into a virginic piece of land.

Moseying through where I once feared to tread,
finding myself so at home, that the old me I shed.
No more need to keep up a pretence,
as for the first time in my life things start to make sense.

Backing away from my life has helped my immensely,
for when one is too close to a situation they can look too intensely.
So finding a spot myself I perch,
but never lose the hunger to go in SEARCH!!!
