Crumbling Walls

Unbuttoning my soul for you to see,
the unsuppressable amount of love that lives in me.
Once hid behind an untappable four walls,
forever hanging up when for me love calls.

Bare I now stand before you,
vulnerable I know but it's the right thing to do.
Hand you my trust that I once kept behind a guard,
so convinced that letting it down would be too hard.

Stripped from my head to my toe,
as my true colours are all that I show.
The kind that can brighten your darkest day,
but I let them fade when I lost my way.

Naked before your very eyes,
as the pain I've undergone fastly dies.
Refusing to shield my golden heart,
as this is the day I make a new start.

Unveiling the sweet gentle nature I own,
I reveal just how much I have grown.
Surprising myself but in a good way,
as I never knew I'd find a better day.

Coming undone with nothing to hide,
revealing my overwhelming love inside.
Inviting you in as my every guard falls,
to unveil a vulnerable spirit amid these CRUMBLING WALLS!!!
