Fade Away

I glanced into the mirror today,
Noticing that I'm fading away.
I'm losing weight without a doubt -
A realisation I could do without.

I'm turning paler each time I look,
Almost as white as pages in a book.
My eyes are dull, the shine all gone.
The smile on my mouth vanished for too long.

I looked into the mirror today.
Noticing that I'm fading away.
Pale white skin, shineless eyes,
Unsmiling face - this can't be right.

Smaller with each passing day,
Nerves worn down, temper frayed.
I can't last much longer, I know this for sure.
Help make life easier, to you I implore.

Give me the courage to take my own life.
Show me the wonders of the enthralling knife.
I'm fading away as each day passes,
Soon I'll be nothing - a shadow to the masses.

------- Author's Notes -------

The inspiration for this came from Seether's song - Fade Away.
