Had To Go

Precious moments that we shared,
are stolen from me as your love is snared.
By the one that broke your heart,
the one who's tore mine apart.

I tried so hard to do right by you,
but you only want the one who hurt you.
For him there's no last chance in your saloon,
but for me the end has come all too soon.

Though I tried with all that's me,
I pathetically failed to make you see.
That I would never hurt you the way he did,
but your choice is me to get rid.

Photos now all that I hold,
which I'll treasure as they're made of gold.
Causing my heart to break,
as I can't pay anymore for his mistake.

I thought that peace was mine,
but I guess wrong person, wrong time.
I led you to the water but could not make you drink,
I wonder if about me you'll think?

Maybe Owen will ask for me,
that day I truly wish to see.
Please tell him that his Aunty loves him so,
and that it's smashed me inside that I've HAD TO GO?!?!
