Broken

Heartstrings pulled as I find them tattered,
losing the one in my life who truly mattered.
Lukewarm tears now drowning once laughing eyes,
plummetting to the core as I fall from blue skies.

Heartache darkens my doorstep once again,
chipping away at my being clueless as to when.
I'm going to fall apart and finally break,
knowing for sure that no more ca I take.

Nobodies fault but still tears fill my eyes,
as in my head I hear her last goodbyes.
Rocked to my being as I fall to the floor,
reaching my destination where I can't take no more.

Finally here where it seems I'm destined to belong,
every ounce of me goes to weak from strong.
No words of comfort as I slowly crumble inside,
hopelessly I fail my tears to hide.

Shielding myself from all of their arms,
at the end of the day it's only me that it harms.
Retreating back to the shell I used to be,
as with my heart she takes another piece of me.

The piece that I need to find my sanctuary,
but I've still got the piece that is wary.
Of pain and heartache in me being woken,
still I lay here dumbfounded as to why I'm again BROKEN?!?
