Tired of waking up in the middle of the night.
Searching for something that is so far out of my sight.
It's practically a dot, that's all I can see.
So I'm not going to chase this mirage but wait for it to come to me.

Maybe it will you never know your luck?
Something's got to change, in this crevice I can't remain stuck.
I need to break away from waiting for the perfect one.
Who knows maybe she's already been and gone?

Etched me with her being but I just don't know it yet?
Touched my soul in a way that I may never forget.
I'm so fixated on what could be, maybe I've missed what's passed me by?
I can't just give up on love because I was fed a lie.

That was then and this is now.
Is she out there, the one to make my heart go KAPOW?
It may not be a word but I know when I meet her.
She'll blow me away and I'll need her to show me where my feet were.

Place them back on the ground and take my head from the clouds.
But reassure me it's not a bad thing when I see her face in the crowds.
Even though she may not be there with me.
It's not abnormal that everywhere I look her face I see.

One of these days the light of love will shine on this one.
I promise I won't run when that light on me is shone.
Although my dreams have been torn at the seams.
Forever I dream that one day I'll be found by SUNBEAMS!!!
