Rap Session by Angel In Tears

(Co-written with the wonderful Meri)

“What are you scared of?

I’m scared of the wind,
Breaking our bond.

I'm scared of the rain,
Washing all our memories away.

I'm scared of love,
Just in case it disappears.

I'm afraid of the sun,

Showing my true colours,
Causing you to run.

I'm afraid of life,

That one day,
It will bring you ,

I'm afraid of death,

Then taking you,
Leaving heartache.

I'm scared of fear,
Making me feel that way.

I’m grieved in spirit, because I lack reassurance.
I ran out of stamina. I need back my endurance.
Why can’t things happen the way I want them to?
On my side of the States, rainbows are very few
If only life were simple, if only the road were easy
Why when I set sail, the winds are extra breezy?
My stomach is queasy. I’m not my normal self.
Fear is making me wacky. I’m not in good health.
Why to every upside, there’s always a downside?
Is it just me, or am I alone being tested and tried?
Why to every pro, there’s always a con?
Where’s Kim Possible, and her assistant Ron?

According to Stoppable, she could do anything
They say she’s available in winter, fall, summer and spring
I’m in hot water, and I really need to be bailed out
My edginess is deterring me from moving freely about
Why to every benefit, there’s always a drawback?
Just when I maintain my balance, I slip through the cracks
Why to every win or gain, there’s always a loss?
And the stream that looked clean turned out to be dross?
I’m frightened because I want whatever I do to last
Why fall in love, just to see my heart shatter like glass?
I can’t get thrilled too soon, the feeling may leave me
Just as quick as it came, all the more to deceive me
Please believe me. It’s hard to overcome this fear.
I (long for company. Oh, if only underdog was here.
