A Rose Of Love To The Unknown

Let me tell you about a friend of mine, yes, I think he has lost his mind
Everyday he sends a Rose to the manager of a funeral home, no name is used
Attached to the Rose is this message, sent every time to the funeral home
Lay this rose upon the heart, that no one has claimed, I know I'm insane

Today, I walk with the warmth of the sun and soon will see the moon-light
As I walk into my favorite place and ask for hot coffee, still I know,
Someone passed my heart today, so alone, no name is known, where is the love
No one should leave this way, so, I send a Rose to a heart unknown, feel its light

As the heart goes to sleep, someone must have known the name, been a friend
We will never know, so, I send this Rose of love to the unknown, could have
Been a friend of mine. Some think I'm crazy, for what I do every day, that is
Okay with me, just sending a Rose to a friend, Goodbye friend, I didn't know

Sheer Talent

I thought this one was remarkable and different compared to so many poems you've written. I like the anonymous type of mood you have flowing in and out of this poem, weaving in the truth of sanity and light hearted love! I like this one very much. Keep writing, I'll keep reading!
