Wandering In Thought

A heart once gold has turned to black,
A face once exultant has turned opposed,
A child once happy is now in depression,
A person once loved is now loathed,
A tree once vibrant has turned to dust,
A skin once soft has turned to rough,
A love once cherished now forgot,
A feeling once wanted is now enough,
Someone close has been forgotten,
Someone needed has been released,
Someone good has turned to bad,
Someone loved is now deceased,
Someone will go to heaven today,
Someone will overcome a fear,
Someone will become a criminal,
Someone hated will become dear,
The world could end tomorrow,
The sky could come crashing down,
The stars might not glow again,
The life we live will not be found,
The water we drink might vanish,
The resources we have be gone,
The sun could lose all its heat,
The whole world couldn’t move on,
For a feeling could disappear forever,
For a loved one could perish away,
For the world could very well end,
For this could be our very last day,
For a feeling is never promised,
For this to be the last day we share,
For everything to become anew,
For a fear that wasn’t really there,
A heart once gold has turned to black,
Someone close has been forgotten,
The world could end tomorrow,
For a feeling could disappear forever…

Tomorrow Isn't Promised

You're right Katrina! Enjoyable read! All your submissions! It's human to be afraid of dying, because we don't know how soon, or when the sand of the hourglass runs out for us. I enjoyed your read! Beautiful Trina! Beautiful!
