Fib And Fiddle All Day Long
Author: Angel In Tears
I lied. I sinned.
I cry for what I did.
The demon took me over,
I was weak, couldn’t fight,
The sweet temptation.
Oh, how lovely you are,
How evil and horrible you act?
You have me fallen to be bad,
Or have you just opened what was right, deep, deep inside?
You make hours worthwhile in the day,
You make me melt, like ice-cream under hot summers rays.
This is something which I do,
Fib and fiddle, because it hurts to tell the truth.
You still managed to stab me and poison myself with my words.
Medicine is bad, but taken with sugar its easier to live,
To face what I really did.

Angel! I remember back when I was a little crumbsnatcher, I used to tell lies so much that it became the norm for me. I wanted to quit altogther, but it was a habit until I had to force and make myself tell the truth even though I dreaded the consequence to come. After all was said and done, I felt relieved and a little lighter after carrying all that weight around for a long time. Magnificent poem!

Yup,know were ya coming from girl!LOL I kinda remembered an incident that happened when I was little, and the consequences...LOL so I thought I shall write ’bout the topic. Why is it that children always lie?Well,I know the answer, but still....LOL Lies are an ability in itself. An art if you like. It's surprising how some depend upon them. And how people manage to get even wound up in them. Not knowing the truth, the reality. Thanks again for comments!
