Firework Display

Several colours explode and
the bang echoes in my head.
The black sky makes them
visible through the clouds.

Everyone cheers and ‘ooh’s..
as it crackles by the stars.
Hardly being able to move
from all the gathering viewers.

A large collection of people
decided to spend their time by
joining an audience
to watch the firework display.

To me it means so much more,
I’ve looked into the depth.
Its like we’re all connected,
a family at last.

I’ve looked into the depth,
of watching a simple display..
And I found a certain meaning,
We’re all celebrating life.

Do you feel it?

..

Celebrating life? To me, fireworks represent the explosion of feelings. The harsh light against the black night, the emotions you can't hide from. The sounds that echo from your past, make you jump..

But that's just me.. Great poem, and your notes on the last one "I always seem to end with two lines that don't rhyme", I think they're pretty good. The non-rhyme makes them stand out more.
