Have you ever felt so empty that you barely felt alive?
A hole inside you, so deep that you fear falling into it,
Cause you may never hit the bottom?

You know there is a piece of your soul missing.
A piece so vital to life.
That piece that would complete the puzzle inside you.

You’ve tried to fill it so many times.
You’ve used pills, alcohol, sex.
Those didn’t fit.

You’ve tried others…
Hate, pain, anger…
Those almost felt good.

Sometimes you wonder if you are even human anymore.

At times the loneliness consumes you.
Surrounded by people.
You feel so alone.

Happiness becomes your enemy.
You hate the sight of it.
It’s like staring into the sun.

You welcome the rainy days.
Because everyone else hates them.
It brings them down to your level.

Sometimes you wish the sun wouldn’t come out again.

You start to wonder if this final piece even exists.
What if you find it?
What if it doesn’t fit the way you thought it would?

You can feel yourself giving in to this.
Letting it take hold of you.
You are destined to be alone.

You were created to be empty.
Maybe this hole will swallow my heart.
Then I won’t feel anything.

Sometimes you wish it would all just end.

Sometimes…
