A Poem Through Tears

And when you turn away
Leaving me behind~
I'll listen to your footsteps
Quickening with time
Slowly....I'll turn to look back
And by then you'll be gone.
Memories in my mind
Streets that remind me of a golden time.
Warmth under my skin
Thousands of dreams
Thousands of poems
And a love that couldn't come.
Tears blurring fantasies
Days that plainly died.
Summers slained by ice
Love coming closer
And you going far
Dark nights with golden lights
Shimmered by tears
For a lover~
For a passer by

The poem is straight and to the point. It catches the true feeling of hurt and pain. I should know I've been there

I love this poem. It's so beautiful. It tells so much in very little words.
