What's In A Heart?

How do I explain?
to someone the intentions of my heart?
Words are easy, yet where do I start?

The best way I cain
is to place them into the soul of my heart
let them feel and see why I did
what I did before my words depart
that captured my lonely heart

Look into the heart that lies
in that maple coffin before your eyes
What you will feel
what you will see
Is a heart separated from true love’s destiny

We both lived a simple common life
I was his ever so proud wife
You may find it difficult to understand
Why I chose to remove my weddin’ band
to a stranger it doesn't mean a thing
seems only i know why i replaced it with my engagement ring

when his weddin' band was given to me in a clear plastic bag
"personal belongin's" was stamped on the tag
on that day i chose to wear it
expose it proudly upon a silver chain close to my heart
Yet where my weddin’ band is concerned I fall apart

I’m sure no one saw
except for these tears in my eyes
fallin' from my heart

as I removed mine and secretly
slipped it along with a copy of our marriage license
into the pocket closest to his heart?
On the final day we were pulled apart

I ask, visualize two hearts merged as one
Mine was the one that stayed behind , lost the ray of my mornin' sun
My heart became weak when the main part of my heart was rooted out
Leavin’ it screaming and lost in a silent empty shout

He was the life line of mine
Does one still not know why, I did it?
I will tell why, I did it
When I found myself in need of his breath to breathe

" I wanted him to take a part of me with him "

I in return kept that most precious memory
A memory that only I
could hold in my hand and in my heart and not cry
Each ring we wore upon our finger leadin’ to our hearts

I expected in my heart to see him once again in a spiritual world
As he takes me under his angel wings
in a heavenly spiritual matrimony
as we place those weddin’ bands upon our lonely fingers for Eternity

do you think one will understand?
what remains in the heart's
of the livin' and departed
that were pulled/forced apart??

I Think........

one who knows love unbound, unhindered by distance, by time, by space. One who knows what it is to be separate and yet not apart, whom even in absence still holds close she whom he loves. One who walks the path that life and love have laid before him and loves to the fullest, feels to the fullest, who knows of loves joy and loves pain. I think such a one will understand indeed. :-) Lovely Terrie, as always, simply lovely.

So Soft and Warm..

you are indeed a true Romantic, rare breed i might add ..at times one seems to not know why one does what they do, until they experience it with you, thank you for peekin' into my heart and seein' what it exposes w/o shame, love is a forever cirlce in this chain of life and love world..one just has to believe in the Magic that lives in a heart..that lives when another spirit takes flight, yet not far from ones soul..thank you Ing , i soo love your sincere comments they feel soft and warm.
