Let Me In

I told you what was deep in my heart
but for some reason you didn't believe me right from the start
Could it be that you never heard the words
Or could it be that you didn't want to see
Open up and let me in
For all my life you wrapped your arms around me and
protected me
With you around I will always feel safe
Its time now to let me wrap my arms around you
I have been waiting for years for you to let me in
I care and worry about you Dad
open up your arms and heart and
Let Me In
I look up to you and always will
I am so proud to have a Daddy like you
Daddy, for me, if not for yourself
Please Please take care of yourself
I will always need you around
So Daddy, open up
and let me in
Sometimes I wonder if you care
I say to myself, how can he if he doesn't care for himself
I say these words before it's to late
Believe what I say Daddy
I love you Daddy like I do everyone else
It's not hard you will see
If you open up and let it be
