A love once now reminded and awake,
A love once moved on to another friend dear,
A love I backed of from and gave to another,
A love now returned with new affection,
A Love now sincere,
This love I wanted before another,
How do I compete with an invisible other?
How do I compete with another I don’t know?
Today she returned without another,
Today she returned to hold me near,
This Love I wanted before another,
This love now again holds me tight tonight,
This love still has those same sweet kisses,
This Love still knows the delight we once had,
Today she held my hand so tight,
Today she captured me in pure delight,
Never knowing her secrets,
She says they won’t share,
Building on us is the way to go forward,
You tell me half stories then say it don’t matter,
You tell me half lies and I’m to move on’
Where was you Love when I needed it most?
Where is your Love each night I’m alone?
Right now you hold me so near and tight,
For now you want this love so bright,
My heart has been torn out from my chest,
You return today to heal its beat,
I’m still not sure,
About your reasons why,
I’m still as I was hurt and destroyed,
Still tonight I’ll lay next to your beating heart,
But I’ll still doubt your every word.
