Found Now Lost

With you a friendship I found,
With you a smile was born,
With you laughter followed,
Within our friendship a love soon adored,
Within our relationship we build with each other,
For a moment we became so close,
Wanting more I let it all go,
Wanting more you said no more,
How can I see you when you’re so close?
Do you see the hugs between you and me?
I remember the taste of your lips,
I remember the dreams that now are just that,

I know you can love,
I know you are a friend,
I know that my love,
Still pours out to you,
When you are ready,
And I hope that is soon,
Let’s move away together,
To build friendship once more,

You call my name,
To run away,
I loved you in that special way,
Today I’m confused,
Of the friendship once had,
Together forever I thought we had,
Friendships mean more,
Than a love we once had,

Time will heal our hearts,
Hearts that separate not by our choice,
Souls now apart I feel alone,
All I wanted was you to hold.
