How Long Is A Memory

Each day I feel another minute without you in it, gone
Some will say, eight hours makes a day, then they go home
Not me, each minute without you in my heart is another day
Its only Monday but to me it has been a long week alone

Where does love go, where does a mistake made in a second go?
I'm telling you it becomes a long memory, everyday
You slipped away from a heart, that lost track of time
You are happy now, so I'm told. Well good for you

When you have the time, do you ever think of me, just take a second
Go back and ask yourself How Long Is A Memory you try to forget
As love slips by, slips back into your heart, you come back to me, it comes
From a memory your heart beats like the tick of a clock, another minute gone
