Last Dance ..with Destiny

She wont walk
on the path no more
where her love and she strolled
hand in hand...
Catching glimpses
of the beautiful blue sky
feeling the moments
sparkled stars in their eyes
The road was long
the breeze was cool
they had one another
the warmth..in the cold..
Time passed.. seasons went by
rains poured..grey went the sky
impending storms were high
She was caught unawares
singing new year love songs
without a care..
The Bridge came along..
she was still content
never knowing
there was a bend
after the bridge ends..
And now that they crossed
the bridge of storms
through seasons of love
passion and songs
she cried in vain..in..pain
all things beautiful
have to come to an end
He looked at her ..one last time
"I always wanted you to be mine"
With those words..she felt
his fingers slip out..of her hand
She stood now all alone
and watched him go..
wishing his heart could hear..
her unsaid words that went unheard
"wish I was"
But now its gone.. its all too late
destiny had a dance with fate
The story ends..words and lines
are all but beautiful
memories in rhymes.
