Red Red Wine

Miniscule bubbles forming in the crystal chalice
Swirl the ruby tinted liquid round and round
Gazing deep into the glass what does she see?
A spirit so transparent to her alone
Please, please see through
The inebriated smirk upon her face

Worn this armor for so long now
Shoulders bend and bow under the weight
Someone lend a hand
Lift this burden that she bears

You hold the key in the palm of your hand
You hesitate
I back away
Lest we open the door once more

Pandora’s box is all I see for you and me

Deep

Enjoyed this one, another hidden talent you have apart from being a good friend.
Would like to write with you some time

Too kind!

Appreciate your kind words, but didn't flow like I would have liked it too (actually the last 3).
