Hidden

tears of saddness fall from grace
spoken through a misleading face
hidden behind smiles a laughter
lies a heart scorned forever and after
beaten and bruised over the years
the thought of love brings quiet fears
fears fueled by past times tried
of going in fullhearted only to be denied
stuck in the corner to afraid to try again
thinking itll be the same in the end
left in the dark with no light
to weary to continue the fight
but on the surface all is well
not even family would be able to tell
that the smile they see is just fake
put on for there sake
so with this mask life can now progress
there to hide past hurt and sadness
