Cornflower blue eyes appear upon the canvas
Cobalt hair cascades in waves across slender shoulders
A generous smile adorns her lovely face
A willowy form stands straight and tall
Poised amongst the clouds
In a sapphire tinted sky
Silhouetted in vivid golden hues
Slender fingers reach out from the mist
Extending open hands
And outstretched arms
To those she once held dear
Brush in hand
A picture I shall paint
Of one I lost so long ago
As time goes by
Her image will remain
She is etched upon my heart

I'm sure your mum watches over you with pride.
Memories are a valued gift we as humans carry,
and I shed tears over these words
thank you for sharing

I was so glad to hear that the words that flow from my heart touched yours. It is more than I could have hoped for. I have read all your poems, and aspire to write more like you. There is so much love that you put across the pages. Thank You!!!
