High Tide Of Emotion

The moon hangs in the midnight sky,
The spotlight for the scene,
Everything is ready.
The four legs sink into the sand,
Side by side they walk,
Quietly, not to disturb the other.

The stillness of the night,
The silence at the sight,
Vision has become reality.
Ten years in the making,
Or in waiting

However you’d like it,
But it doesn’t matter now.
Not since your wish has been fulfilled:
The beach, the moon,
The horses, the moment.
The one moment I’ll have with you.
Under the light of the stars.
Your eyes reflect the universe above.
Never-ending with its amazement.
Vast in knowledge,
Endless in beauty.

The Love’s there for a moment,
Just enough to slip away.
To slow to react,
To fast to slow down.

Take some time to access the damage,
That this broken heart has done.
No good for you,
Or too good for me.
Whatever the case may be,
Maybe this should never be.

Go our separate ways.
You go east, I’ll go west.
Toward the light of new day,
You’ll follow the rising sun.
A new life you may lead.

To the valley of death,
To the west any be.
Were I travel away for good.
Never to see again the beach or the stars.
The moon, or your eyes.
Never again until I hide.
Forever in my mind you’ll lye
