Twilight Zone
6 July, 2002

You were a seeker of truth
Yes, an idealistic old fashioned scholar
Seeking shelter from the storm
Against the will and wishes of the Order.

The anguished sound, the painful mourn
Was it just the wind and the horrid weather?
What was going on in the hermitage inside
Why was that man caged seemingly forever?

Just a common and ordinary soul
Surely innocent and must be set free
Was the world simply
Going insane or was it just the Order?

Locked inside a common cage
The Staff of Life so restrictive
The door was opened and you let him go
Metamorphosis into the devil demon.

Catch the Devil, try holding him long
Man's foolish flight of fancy
The same scene now and forever more
Until the final Day of Judgement

You've Entered The twilight zone

Da na na na na na na na "starring Alfred Hitchcock" naw, I'm joking. Good poem title relative to religion David Soriano. Especially the last paragraph, "Catch the devil, ty holding him long..............." I don't know about anyone else, but I want to catch him, because he's nothing but my foe.

I'm really into this poem. What can I say but WOW, this is really, really good David! Keep it up!
