Behind My Eyes

Don't look back, don't turn around.
Don't look at that mirror on the wall.
All you'll say is mirror mirror what do you see
But it won't say anything.

What did you do?
You think to yourself
Why won't your image respond
Maybe you hate yourself for what you've done

You walk by a river and peer at your face
It's littered with leaves and rain
Never clear, you never see
yourself as who it should be

One more time you ask yourself
Who are you; talk to me
But nothing is said; you softly whisper
"I see"

Even I can't talk to me

Don't turn around
Don't look back now
Just keep going without a sound.
