Until That Day Grandad..

Robbed from me at the age of four,
walking up nannys stairs to find grandad,
but mum telling me that grandad is not here anymore.

but where could he be I thought to myself
as I climbed the stairs,
He was here last week,
even at the age of four I could sense an atmosphere downstairs
as everybody sat in silence, nobody daring to speak.

Even now I cant remember anybody telling me he had died,
I soon worked out for myself,
so its not as if my parents lied.

Everybody tells me about this wonderful man,
but that still does not Compensate for not walking to the
park with him hand in hand,

Kicking a ball,
or being pushed on the swings,
its amazing how hurt you can feel by just missing
out on such little things,

I've done bad in my life,
And I know you have been Observing up there with him,
you can put me in my place when I get there,
until then,
rest in peace Grandad Jim.
