Special Friends
Author: Catyrose

Once in awhile someone comes along
Who touches your heart in a very unusual way
Thoughts of that special person
May cross your mind several times a day
You see something or hear a tune that brings to mind
The times you two have shared
Subtle reminders of just how much you care
At times a smile may cross your face
As you recall a joke or two
Understood only by the likes of you
Encouraging words spoken throughout the years
Echo softly within the corners of your mind
Urging you to carry on through difficult times
Sharing laughter as well as tears
Lasting friend throughout the years
Know that I am always here
Should you need a listening ear
Feel my presence in your heart
Even though we may be miles apart
