A Walk In The Woods
I love to watch the leaves of gold
As they fall delicately from the tall, tall trees
I love the feel of the wind rustling through my hair
As I walk leisurely through the woods
Searching for my special place
Along the way I stop to listen
To the birds chirping in the brisk night air
Gazing up at a moon so full
As it lights the way along my chosen path
Twigs and leaves speaking in natureís own language
A coyote howls off in the distance
Singing a song, that inspires me to continue on this trek
The smell of pine and fallen rain
Lingering in this lush atmosphere
Enlivening the senses
Breathing life into my steps
Iím almost there
Just a few more lengthy strides
Till I arrive at my final destination
Can you see it?
Off in the distance
Two paths I now see
Which route shall I take
On this road, to self-discovery?

must have been a life long since passed, as I have seen no woods here in this desert that we live in.
O.K kidding apart I love the words you find to share with us mortals

I really like your poem Catyrose. Oh, if I only could go back to that fork in the road. I think we all think that sometimes. I'm sure we wouldn't make the same mistakes. I walk in the woods everyday. Just love the sights and smells. Thanks for sharing.

The woods here lie only in my mind, and in Washington state where I lived quite some time ago. Envy your walks in the woods as I now live in the desert. Thank you for your comments and reflections, and appreciating what I was trying to convey here.

hunny give yourself a sweet lengthy embrace, your words are so inspirin', i have but a few more moments on the pc before i give it up to one of the kids for homework, so listen to these words that flow from a heart that shares many souls, you take many where they only dreamed of, like a heavens paradise, your words are a painted canvass a tapestry of love spoken , love shared love renewed, altogether your words cain touch the untouchable, move many hard to move mountains, what are we worth if we caint share our hearts love...
