It Was Time To Go

I live my life a bit different from the rest
I always have, and probably always will
I try to see the good
In all who cross my path
And then I wonder why it is
I’ve been stabbed
Once again, in the back
Good and evil they surely do exist
Within each one of us
Lies the capacity
To destroy each others trust
Its not my place to judge
Nor to hunker down
And hold a grudge
I’ve gone thru life with blinders on
Or so it would appear
Seeing only the good
Refusing to believe
We all can be quite cruel
As we pretend to live our lives
By the golden rule
It’s time to change my lenses
So I can see the truth
I’ll not judge your intentions
Or criticize you Miss
For I have flaws aplenty
As I am sure you know
I’ll simply wave good-bye
As it was time to go

Sad but true

It's always sad to say goodbye, however at times it's needed so we can move along.
Nice words my friend
