The Littlest Angel
24 March, 2006

Little child, so much older than you appear
Too many heartaches and tears
You have endured
In three short years

Your smile lights up my day
A voice so sweet and tender
A childish laugh that never fails to bring delight
How I wish I could shelter you in my arms tonight

So very hard to let you go
Back to a home resembling a battle zone
Harsh words they fly through the air
Your parents speak in angry tones
Providing you with a house, never a home

A father so cold and cruel
A mother frightened who obeys his every rule
I long to ease your fear and stress
To hold you close and caress
Your tiny cheek pressed against mine

My love for you is beyond measure
You are Na-Na’s delicate and loving treasure
I’ll hold you in my heart tonight
I’ll send you angels from above
To keep you warm and safe in heavenly love

Touching

Very heart felt and I hear every word.
She is a strong child, this we know. She is a surviver.

Thank God

....this child has you in her life. You are the reason she will believe in love.
