To The End.

Feeling like I’m trapped within this fate,
Screaming to break free,
But choking on the words I can’t create,
In order to spare you.

All I can do to protect you from me is lie
I’ve lost myself from you now,
My eyes just feel like they need to cry,
But it’s like they don’t know how to.

I’m left here to face this pain,
This misery I’m now used to,
I feel like I’m lost within me, am I going insane?
It’s just your promises seem so appealing.

I’m smothered and controlled,
This wasn’t how it was meant to be,
I know you love me more than anything, I’ve been told..
And I felt that way too..

Recently I’ve been doubting, is it all lies?
I feel like I’m being driven away from us,
And yet the worst thing is that you don’t realise,
How hard this is for me to stay.

I want you to finally let go of me,
Because you never do,
Now all I can dwell about is my longing to be free,
Because while I’m with you I’m caged.

But will I find
That I still love you?

Sometimes it's surprising

what we see when we write our feelings into words. It is better to hurt someone with the truth, than to spare their feelings, with a lie. Because then, you're hurting the both of you. Your feelings and needs are important too. Be good to yourself.
